My 4-star Review:
Just thinking about this book makes me smile. I will admit, at first, I was a little put off.... I thought to myself, not another book with the rich guy and lonely female meeting and falling in love at first sight book... But as I read on, I quickly switched gears. Yes this has the typical underlying plot, however, it has its own twist. I was wrapped up in the affair. The book has just enough drama and intrigue to keep your attention.
I was please with the writing and storyline both. Molly won me over from the get go, especially with everything she had been through. Drake is the typical, irresistible rich guy who everyone wants. The chemistry described in this book is to be envied, to say the least. The thing I liked best about this story is the twist of Molly having a child already. You don't get that in books. It gives the fairly tale a little bit of reality to it! I can't wait to read the next book. I am curious what is to come of this couple.
My 4-star Review:
In Kitchen Affairs we learned a lot about Drake and Molly… The scandals, the lust, the attraction. With this part of the trilogy we find out more about both of their pasts and how their past effects their current lives.
I really liked this book. I found myself wrapped up in Molly and Drake from the get-go. As their love for one another grows, so does the drama surrounding them. I laughed, I cried.
This book introduces exes, stalkers, wanna-be lovers and so much more. There is plenty in this book to keep your attention and wanting more. I look forward to the final installment of this trilogy. I am just sad that I have to wait until mid-fall for it.
My 3.5-star Review:
I am not happy that this was my least favorite in this trilogy. I was introduced to Brooke Cumberland with the first book in this trilogy, and I was hooked! I love Brooke! She is a wonderful author! This book, however, didn't do much for me.
I don't know why, but this book almost felt forced. It lingered too much into Molly's pregnancy. I feel there should have been less on her hormones and pregnancy in the beginning. Reading sooo much about her bed rest and restlessness was a bit daunting and hard to get through.
Now once the good drama started, then I was all in. That was the saving grace for this book! I was hooked and wanted more of the drama. This should have been the focus for the majority of this story! My rating would have been much higher if it had!
There is no denying the characters in this story. We love Drake. We Love Molly. We love Michael. We don't like Denny. Yes. There always has to be an antagonist in a story like this... there is one in each book in this trilogy.
I am happy and sad to see this story end. It was a great ending to the story. The series, as a whole, is a must read! I will not deny that
