My 3-star review of Stone of Thieves:
I was skeptical going into this book. I don't usually go for fantasy books. Although, some intrigue me more than others. This one sounded like it could be a good book, and it is. If you ask why I gave it the rating I did, it's because I had a hard time getting into the book. It is a really good book, but not necessary to my liking or expectations.
Diane does a really good job and developing her characters. The growth and passion these characters have is fantastic.
Although I didn't get into the book like I hoped, it still was an easy read. I know that sounds contradictory, but it is the truth. I didn't have a hard time finishing it, even though I wasn't 100% into it. Which does say a lot about how well written the book is. Usually if I am not into a book, I will leave it and go back to it numerous times until it's finished. I didn't have to do that with this book.
Overall, this book will appeal to those who typically read this genre. Those that don't but are looking for a bit of a change, this could be a good book just for that.
