BURNING THROUGH GRAVITY—they soared so high so fast they never expected the fall.
Two beautiful souls.
Two seemingly innocent deceptions.
Once they meet, Stevie and Ford explode into one another in a ball of lust, hotter than a July moon. Ford is assertive, dominate and in control, that is until Stevie brings him to his knees. He thinks she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever met both inside and out. Stevie thinks he’s sweet, and sort of goofy—of course it doesn’t hurt that he drips sex like honey.
Stevie is starting to fall hard for Ford.
And Ford is all in with Stevie.
She wonders if he could ever forgive her for what she’s about to do.
She wonders if she wants him to.
They say love conquers all.
But love never met two liars like Stevie and Ford.
His lie cost her a few sleepless nights.
Her lie will cost him everything.
I sure wasn't expecting this book! Honestly, I thought this was going to be another typical love story. Man, was I wrong!
Starting out, I has a rough time with this book. It moved a little slow, and I had a hard time keeping my mind on the book as I read. Then, all of a sudden, the book took a turn. Then another turn. Then another. By the second half of the book, I had whiplash of the brain from all of the turns the story kept taking.
As you read, you glimpses of things. Things you think you have pegged. Then, boom! It's not entirely what you were expecting! The lies, the hatred, the betrayals, the lust, the love, the secrets. It all stays in place, twirling like a tornado. And boy, do you need to hold on or you will be swept up!
Now as far as the characters themselves go... Well, I haven't quite made up my mind on them. I can't decide whether I dislike or like either of them. At times, they are likable. At other times, I want to punch them for being dumb asses. Their fake/real/fake/real relationship got on my nerves from time to time, but it worked. It was the basis of the story. Their lies. Their truths. They all blended together making the most complex characters I have encountered yet!
