Somethng New for the New Year
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something new to do on the blog for all of you. Everything I think of seems to have been done by a blog or ten at some point. I knew I needed to do something that not only would interest readers but also something that I am able to do on a regular basis. Time is always limited.
I have slowed down on joining blog tours, which some of you may have noticed. I haven't done this as to not support authors and their writing, but to improve my blog. What I mean by that is I was at a point where I was only reading for blog tours. I only had time to write those reviews. In return, I wasn't writing reviews for the non blog tour books I read. That isn't fair to those authors. By limiting the number of reviews I agree to do will increase my review writing ten-fold. So that's one thing I am hoping you will see more of. Book reviews.
Next, I don't toot my horn over a lot of books. I do, however, toot my horn over the books that I think everyone should read. Not every book I read is a 5 star read. And not every book that I rate 5 stars is a book for everyone. I know this. So sometimes I do shout over the rooftops about books that I may have only given 3 or 4 stars. I have gotten to know my followers pretty well. I see what things you interact with the most. I see what things you are liking on my social media. Because of this, I like to think that I have a pretty good grasp on what you all may like. So I will try to give you an array of things to read and check out from time to time.
Now, like I said, not everything is for everyone. A new thing for my blog I want to attempt is to post some of my favorite authors, books, and/or series. Yes, I technically do that already. What I mean by this is special promo posts aimed at a specific author, book or series. The posts may be of books I read in the past that I think many might want to read. They may be new books. They may be upcoming books that I have already read. I want to give you a wider range of books to fill your minds with.
Whew. I know that's a lot of rambling. I apologize for that. I hope everyone has a wonderful safe and fun New Year. We will be spending it at the movies with the kids. There is no better way to ring in the New Year than with family and fun.
If you ever have any suggestions for me or things you would like to see more of on the blog, feel free to let me know. I am always up for suggestions, especially from readers.
