My Favorites I read in 2016 and a Giveaway

The end of another year is here. This is the time of year that polls and lists of favorites are floating all over social media. I had debated doing polls myself, but let's face it, that's a lot of work. Annnd there are a million out there for everyone to vote on.

I went to my Goodreads to see all of my 5-star reads from 2016. Imagine my shock. I only had SIX. SIX. At first I thought that had to be wrong. I started scrolling through my read list and it is totally right. While I have some favorites that I rated 4-stars, I thought I would highlight my 5-stars. These are the books that went beyond being great. They blew me away. They stayed with me for days. They plagued me and haunted me.

If you are wondering what else I read, just stop by my Goodreads page. They are all there by year.

I am planning some changes to my blog for 2017. Make sure that you subscribe to my blog by email. Just scroll down a little. It's on the right side of my blog. I am hoping to post more book-ish stuff along with more reviews. I won't be doing as many promo posts. I feel like they have taken over my blog and have taken away from book reviews and book chats. I have some great things planned. I hope you all stop by from time to time.

Now it's time for my giveaway! ONE winner will get all items listed on this giveaway. I am sorry, but this giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. I will gift a few eBooks to international people when I draw winners.

  7. How is it that I have read NONE of your 5 star books? One of my favorites this year was an unexpected gem...Absolute Zero by Anlyn Hansell. It's an older couple - well established and intelligent - and a very long book, but I didn't want to put it down. I also fell hard for A Lush Rhapsody by Selena Laurence - the rarely told depiction of behind the stage antics of rock stars. For fun and fast paced, Tabatha Kiss' Snake Eyes series does it for me. It's light compared to a lot of others in the genre but left me with a smile on my face.
    Merry Christmas!
