From Audie Award winning, New York Times best-selling author Kylie Scott comes an irresistible new romance - available in audio first!
When a vicious attack leaves 25-year-old Clementine Johns with no memory, she's forced to start over. Now she has to figure out who she was and why she made the choices she did - which includes leaving the supposed love of her life, tattoo artist Ed Larsen, only a month before.
Ed can hardly believe it when his ex shows up at his tattoo parlor with no memory of their past, asking about the breakup that nearly destroyed him. The last thing he needs is more heartache, but he can't seem to let her go again.
Should they walk away for good, or does their love deserve a repeat performance?
****4 Star Review****
I have read many amnesia books before but never in the way Kylie gave it to us in Repeat. It had a different feel from the typical memory loss story line.
Clem has amnesia from an attack but she doesn't let it stop her life. She doesn't fear the world, as many would, but takes action and starts living life the way she wants to. Clem walks back into her ex Ed's life with questions about her past but that just leaves her with more questions than she started with in the beginning.
What happened with their relationship? Why is he so angry with her? Why don't her old friends want to be apart of her life? Why are there so many secrets? Who attacked her and why?
The heated hostility doesn't last long between this couple though. Slowly, Clem gets the answers to most of her questions and the sparks start to build....again! I love their chemistry together and the ease of their "new me" relationship.
Repeat had a good mix of romance and suspense. I couldn't wait to figure out who attacked Clem. There were a couple people on my suspect list and about halfway through, I had a gut feeling who did it and why.
The only thing I wish we got a little more of was the ending. To me, it felt a little quick and rushed. With that being said, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to Kylie's next!
