Sofia Kendrick has always cherished her tiara. As the youngest daughter of a wealthy New York family, she’s lived the life of an American princess. But after two scandalous divorces and a breakup smear her name across the society rags, the shine from her crown has dulled. People call her superficial, even gaudy.
She’s nothing more than tinsel.
Desperate for escape and starving for peace, Sofia heads to Montana for a holiday weekend with her brother. But she doesn’t get the relaxing vacation she planned. Instead, she’s put to work in a bar alongside Dakota Magee—a man who does not want her help. A man who is set on teaching her a few lessons about real life and hard work. But Sofia has a couple of life lessons of her own to teach. Like how to fall in love.
****4 Star Review****
I absolutely adore this book!
Sophia and Dakota's story pulled on every single one of my heart strings. I will admit, when I first read about Sophia, I thought she was a spoiled brat who needed a huge reality check. However, she grew on me rather quickly and I came to realize that she was just misunderstood. I actually felt really bad for her. She deserved to get the same respect as others did. She just needed to take on life at her own pace to reach her happiness.
My heart broke for Dakota. He was put into such a hard situation. The loyalty within him made his heart battle for what he really wanted. I felt his pain through his story.
You could not help but to root for this couple. I was hoping they would figure it out because the love between Sophia and Dakota was so strong. Their timing was wrong. Their distance was wrong. But their connection was incredible right!! Devney worked my heart with this book!
Oh and that Epilogue was awesome!! It was the PERFECT wrap up to the book. Devney always makes my heart swell!
