*** 3 Star Review ***

I went into this book pretty blind. I knew it was a romantic suspense. The cover alone added to the suspense of the book. I gladly dug in, hoping for a great read.

I really enjoyed this book. Did I love it? Eh, I didn't love it. But I did like it. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It is a good book. It has just enough of everything to keep to plot moving and a reader completely engaged.

After I finished this book, I went and read some of the reviews, like I usually do. I can see why many loved it. It does have some really good suspenseful moments. Some might say a few twists they didn't see coming. I might have seen one or two, but they fit. Expecting some things to possibly happen didn't lessen the effect they have on the story.

I think I am a little indifferent to the characters. I am not sure how I feel about them. This is where the book lost me a little. I was partially invested in them, but not totally. I was even impartial to how I wanted the book to end. I guess you could say this is my negative for the book. Gunner didn't come off as tough as the author seemed to try to portray. And Reagan. I disliked her more than I liked her. It kind of went this way for me all of the characters as the book went on.

Overall, this was a good read. One I am glad I read. I definitely have already looked up this author's other books. I am sure I will be reading more of her in the future.
