Review: After Care by LB Dunbar

June 14, 2018

Breast cancer survivor Edie Williams is ready to live.
Divorced. Mother of two.

She’s planned the vacation of a lifetime for a reboot,
only to encounter an awakening adventure—Tommy Carrigan.

Manager of the band Collision, Tommy Carrigan has his plate full.
Independent. Carefree.
He’s on an annual holiday with his band family,
when the unexpected happens—Edie Williams.

Love might be just what the doctor prescribed,
but can it survive the world of rock-n-roll?

**** 4 Star Review ****

This was my first book by this author. I can definitely say that it will not be my last. There is just something about this author's writing that I can totally get into!

This book, wow. I enjoyed the ride from start to finish. And there were definitely a ride of sorts, maybe a few. It was refreshing to have characters who are more mature in not just age but personality.

I will say I wasn't a fan of Edie a few times. She was a bit over dramatic, even given the circumstances. All was easily forgotten though. She managed to redeem herself whenever I would start to not like her. And Tommy. I loved everything about him. What is there not to love?

Overall, this was a really great read. One I would definitely recommend. It's hot, steamy, sweet, a little heart breaking, raw, real, swoon worthy.
