Where Good Girls Go to Die by Holly Renee

November 20, 2018

It was a bad idea from the beginning.

He was my brother's best friend and the definition of unavailable.

But I didn't care.

I had loved him for as long as I could remember.

He was worth the risk. He was worth everything.

But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him. He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn't there to catch me.

So I ran.

Four years later, I never expected to see him again.

He was still my brother's best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever.

He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile.

Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die.

Unfortunately for him, I wasn't a good girl anymore.

***** 5 Star Review *****

What did I read? I will be honest... I bought this book based on the title and cover. I didn't read the synopsis at all. I thought for sure I was getting some sort of mystery or thriller. This book is definitely neither of those. Good thing I am a sucker for a second chance romance!

I was hooked on this story from the first sentence. That opening scene though...

I fell for these characters from the get go. I wanted the man to get his woman so bad I could taste it. These two characters have carried a love for one another for so many years, it was only right that they finally get things right.

This book is told in dual point of views, past and present. I can't see this book being told any other way. It works for these characters and the story they have to tell. And what a story it was. I devoured this book. I couldn't get enough of it!

If you are looking for a second chance romance with great characters, a strong story, angst, fun, and a happily ever after, this book is for you!
