The truth has no place in a courtroom. The truth doesn't matter in a trial.
The only thing that matters is what the prosecution can prove.
Eddie Flynn used to be a con artist. Then he became a lawyer. Turned out the two weren't that different.
It's been over a year since Eddie vowed never to set foot in a courtroom again. But now he doesn't have a choice. Olek Volchek, the infamous head of the Russian mafia in New York, has strapped a bomb to Eddie's back and kidnapped his ten-year-old daughter Amy.
Eddie only has 48 hours to defend Volchek in an impossible murder trial - and win - if wants to save his daughter.
Under the scrutiny of the media and the FBI, Eddie must use his razor-sharp wit and every con-artist trick in the book to defend his 'client' and ensure Amy's safety. With the timer on his back ticking away, can Eddie convince the jury of the impossible?
Lose this case and he loses everything.

I want to tell you first off, this book was so close to being a five star read. The only thing that held me back from clicking five stars was some extra fluff that I really did not need. There were two or three small chapters that were filler and completely unnecessary. I found myself skimming them.
But... THIS BOOK! Holy wow! While I admit, it's a bit over the top, but that's what made this particular book so dang good. The over the top fit this story to a T. I didn't want to put it down. I was committed to it from the first page.
I haven't been so connected to a main character like I was with Eddie Flynn in a while. I wanted him to save the day so badly. This book had my heart rate racing through most of the book.
I am glad I own all of the currently published books in this series. I will be doing my best at getting caught up on them before the next one releases this Spring. If you're unsure of this one, just know it gets my seal of approval. It's one I highly suggest.
